The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as “partnering in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires a person to maximize their personal and professional potential. The process of coaching often unlocks previously untapped sources of imagination, productivity and leadership. When you work with a coach, you set out on a path to greater personal and professional fulfillment.”
People come to coaching for many different reasons. Usually there is an interruption in life that shows you that you can’t continue doing the same thing you’ve always done. You know something needs to change and an opening is created. You know when you are ready to put in the work to change your habits and mindset.
I currently offer three different packages for individuals, which are outlined below. I also offer custom packages for couples and families as well; please feel free to contact me for a program and pricing details.
My most popular package costs $2,700 and lasts roughly five months, with a total of about 12 hours of coaching. My least expensive package costs $700 and includes three sessions of up to 1.5 hours each, focusing on one topic. My third package costs $2,000 and consists of 10 sessions (lasting 75 minutes each with no intake or Enneagram interview).
You can pay in installments or if you pay up front, I offer a discount. I’m also happy to email you one-page that explains the structure of my packages.
The packages I offer include from three to ten sessions and last from one to five months. A single session lasts from one to 1.5 hours in length. In between sessions, clients do activities or practices which we design together. In between sessions, I offer short check-ins, encouragement via text/email, and/or short phone calls as needed and desired.
Unlike in therapy, where the client decides when to book appointments, coaching is best done within a flexible structure, with a beginning, a middle and an end. In my experience, clients make better progress and achieve more positive outcomes when they invest in and commit to completing a full coaching package.
After you’ve looked through my website and made sure that I don’t remind you of anyone annoying (and that my voice doesn’t sound like chalk on a chalkboard to you), a good next step is to request a 45-minute Meet and Greet on Zoom or in person if you live near Annapolis, Maryland.
After our session, you can see how you feel and what you think. Are you motivated to work with me or is there a different opportunity out there for you so you can grow and develop?
Working with yourself to be resilient takes time and patience. Simplifying the process makes it easier. Here’s a helpful mantra from neuroscientist Rick Hansen that I’ve recently been working with: Let It Be. Let It Go. Let It In.
Navigating change requires courage, strength, and grace. I find if I schedule in time to decompress and don’t hold the expectation that I’ll work flat out 24/7 that I have more energy and can pace myself. I’m also happier and easier to be around. How do you keep moving forward and keep your balance?
When tragedies happen, we have a choice. We can accept the situation, or look for the opportunity or gift in the experience. Everything takes its own time. Here’s how one family kept moving ahead.
What signposts and paths are you considering at this time in your life? How much do you consult your own intuition and past experience? How much are you motivated by fear and/or curiosity?
Ever feel embarrassed after making a mistake and then your Inner Critic continues to berate you after the fact? I have and it doesn’t feel good. There is another way! Cultivating a growth mindset helps you to be your own best advocate as you learn to trust in your abilities and talents. Learn how to build neural pathways to support yourself and make your life easier.
I got to be a stay-at-home mom for 20 years and by the grace of BLM and the #MeToo movement I am very aware now of how privileged I have been and am. I feel privileged to have had so many moments with my daughters: taking them to nursery school for their First Days and volunteering in their classes; organizing themed birthday parties (the Teddy Bear’s Picnic stands out in my mind); and running a girls circle for all their friends out of our living room. I had the “full experience” as I saw it back then and I got to choose that.
As we re-emerge from the weariness of COVID-time, we have an opportunity to rediscover and reinvent ourselves. Mini habits and reframing are two tools that can help you be who you really want to be.
With the Virus now having influenced us heavily for over a year, we are beginning, slowly, to think about the transition back to “normal life.” But what is the new normal? What parts of any past pandemic struggles are you ready to let go of? And what will you take with you as your Lessons Learned?
We can reinvent and renew ourselves. Who do you want to be?
